Halloween Party Ideas
Besides doing a hidden candy hunt in our backyard and bobbing for apples what are some other things to keep the kids occupied?
We'll most likely have a bounce house.

One of those boxes where you put a bowl of peeled grapes to feel like eyeballs, cold spagetti to be "witches hair" etc. I used to love those at the school halloween fair.

Re: Halloween Party Ideas
We had a halloween party last year, and are doing another halloween-themed bday party this year.
Last year I bought a whole bunch of mini-pumpkins. I bought a big tarp, laid it out in the backyard, bought paints and paintbrushes, and all the kids painted their own pumpkin.
We also made halloween cookies - I bought all the halloween sprinkles and what not, and they made their own pumpkin and witch cookies.
I also bought a bunch of halloween crafts at a craft store and laid them out on the porch for them to play with.
I think the only other thing I did was a ghost pinata.

Re: Halloween Party Ideas
Oh I like the pumpkin painting idea. Did the kids take off their costumes for that?

Re: Halloween Party Ideas
No, but I made sure we bought washable paints. Otherwise, you could just buy a whole bunch of xtra large tshirts to use as smocks

These are all great ideas. I was going to suggest painting mini pumpkins as well.

Re: Halloween Party Ideas
They make so many "ready to go" crafts that they sell at AC Moore, Michaels, places like that --- a lot of stuff with foam pieces that just need to be assembled. You could get some crafts like that.

Mummy wrap..teams of two and one wraps up the other with TP.
Freeze Dance
Donuts on a string (tie a donut to a string and hang it from something and the kids try to eat them without their hands).
