Halloween spinoff...

Do you leave candy out for the trick-or-treaters?
The first year we were here we had maybe 5 kids after we got home from work.
Then last year I decided to fill a big bucket with candy...I wasn't sure what was going to happen.
Amazingly, when we got home from work, a lot of the candy was gone but not all and we still had a couple of "kids" come by that night.


I really thought we'd come home to either and empty bucket or candy strewn all over - but the kids seemed to be really good about it.

If it's nice I usually sit on the porch and read a book until they come by.

I usually take off early and go home so I beat them to it.

We have a lot of teenagers in my neighborhood and if I left candy out it wouldn't be there very long.

I don't leave the candy outside as I am not sure there would be any left. Last year I was outside doing yardwork as all the kids were trick or treating.

Hopefully we will have more this year.
