DS didn't like sleeping flat b/c of reflux. The swing or rock-n-play were better options for us.

I'm thinking of getting this for DD when she's born. The reviews on Amazon are all great. I like that you can push this up really close to you in bed. With my son I had a more traditional bassinet and I kept having to get out of bed to pick him up, which was annoying of middle of the night feedings.

i think it's way to much $$ for something you only use for a couple of months- there's a graco pack and n play where part of it actually converts into a bassinet- To me, that's more feasible because you'd use the pack and play afterwards.. i think it's called the graco day2night or something like that

I also opt'd for the pack'n'play as you can wheel over the bassinet. I just can't imagine asking anyone to spend $300 on this when I could use a whole lot more needs rather than wants. And mind you originally I was SET on getting this but it seems not as necessary.
