Hand doctor? Do they have those?
Is that what I'd go to for wrist pain?
My wrist has been hurting on & off for about a year & a half. It's not a bone thing, I think it's a muscle/tendon thing.
It used to be an ache but now it's getting worse - holding a camera , a pot or even turning the steering wheel can be pretty uncomfortable.
So I'm thinking it's time to go to a doctor but what kind?

My mom had carpal tunnel...I think she used an orthopedic doctor

I went to a hand dr. He did a lot of surgery on people's hands. FM if you want his info.

There is a hand doctor in Smithtown who is pretty well known and well thought of. His name is Ather Mirza. However, orthopedists do treat carpal tunnel as well.

There are Orthopedic doctors (or even surgeons) that have specialties, like hand.

There is a great hand doctor in Huntington- Dr. Ellstein. They have an office building on 25A called the hand center.

I had a ton of hand and wrist problems after I had Ava. I go to the best Ortho Hand Specialist. I love him.
He is Dr. John Lepard. He is on Froehlich Farm Blvd in Woodbury. I don't know if that is too far for you. If you would like his #, let me know, I will dig it up.

My daughters hand surgeon is Chief of hand Hand Surgery & a Professor at Stonybrook He has done 7 surgerys on my daughter. His name is Lawrence Hurst.
