Hand, foot and mouth disease question
My son was just diagnosed with it. The dr. said adults don't really get it, but I have been reading adults can. My question is can i carry the virus and not show symptoms, but still transfer to another adult? Should i avoid pregnant women or people in general ( i'm attending a baby shower on saturday and not sure if I should go. I don't think I hve it, but the incubation period is 5 days, so who knows).

Re: Hand, foot and mouth disease question
My DC had it recently and although adults can get it, it's not as common. No adults who were exposed got it, and I just kept other kids away for a week.
Also, I'm pregnant so I did some research and I couldn't find anything about it being particularly dangerous during pregnancy, not the way Fifth disease is, for example.
I wouldn't stress too much over this.
