Happening so fast - my first IUI is tomorrow!
I went in this morning for my third post-Clomid sono. There was nothing measurable last Tuesday, nothing measurable on Saturday... and a 20.5 mm follie there today! It's like it popped up out of nowhere!
The RE gave me instructions for an HCG shot and scheduled me for an IUI on Friday. A couple of hours later they called me with results from my bloodwork - I'm already surging, so I have to go in tomorrow for the IUI. Just like that! Last night at this time I was worried I wouldn't even have any follies growing.
One question, though: I have PCOS and every other time I poas, I get a smiley. So I'm pretty much always surging. How do they know that it's really real this time? Does the blood test reveal something different? I was kind of looking forward to taking the shot and knowing for sure it was going to really happen.

hmm that is odd. the bloodwork will tell them your LH level. maybe they can see the differences in your LH over the last few appts so they know its def a surge???
i totally understand though - if i were you i would ask if i could trigger just in case, just to at least see what the doctor says.
good luck!!

Re: Happening so fast - my first IUI is tomorrow!
Thanks for the quick reply. No time to trigger - the IUI is scheduled for 13 hours from now! I'm actually wondering if I O'ed already today, actually. My CM has totally dried up and my b00bs are sore.

YAY, Dava. I told you those things grow fast. That explains why you saw CM.
GOOD LUCK!

I don't know anything about PCOS but I know when the RE does my monitoring bloodwork it does measure something besides LH which is what OPK's test for. Good luck!

I did! He said it's not. He didn't want us to bd 24 hours before the IUI, even though dh's sperm count is off the charts. But you're right, that would have solved the problem of my being worried I O'ed today. Oh well, it's just our first medicated cycle, we're still learning.
Oh hey - and good luck to YOU tomorrow!!!

Wow, this board has been holding up this "everyone triggers and does IUI on almost the same day" thing.. There were a bunch of us last week too!
Good luck!!!!
