Happy 2nd Birthday to my baby boy who's not such a baby anymore!
Well, 2 years ago right now I was in the hospital in labor. I wasn't really feeling any pain yet from the contractions. DH and I were just hanging out in the room with my parents and MIL. In just less than 12 hours at 10:10 in the morning my little man Lucas came into the world with a knot in his umbilical cord and it wrapped around his neck 2 times!  Weighing in at 8 lbs, 7 oz.
Thankfully everything was fine and now just about 2 years later I am so happy, blessed and honored to have him in my life. He is the reason I smile every day, he is the laughter in my life. I look at him and am amazed each and every day that I helped to create him.
And so tomorrow (ironically on Labor Day), we celebrate Lucas's grand entrance into the world! Happy birthday little man!

Yeah, I think we've seen small bits and pieces of the "evil twin" here and there. I will prepare for the worst and hope for the best! (and keep looking at these angelic pictures to remind me of his wonderful potential during the difficult moments!  )

I know, right? Sometimes I am convinced the baby we took home from the hospital is not the same child I have now! He looks totally different!
