Happy 9th Birthday to Murphy! (long with alot of pics)
It is hard to believe that 9 years ago I was researching what breed of dog I wanted, finding a reputable breeder and FINALLY finding my doggie soul mate.
We first met Murphy when he was only 3 weeks old and was still on wobbly little legs. For the next 5 weeks, we stayed in contact with the breeder and even visited him once during that time.
When it was time to bring him home, I was overjoyed! Our family felt so complete!
With DH's rough schedule as a police officer, Murphy became my companion faster than a dog normally might. He brought me so much comfort and happiness. Yes, I was a bit obsessed with Murphy and even caused some arguements with DH about which of them was more important to me.
Going ahead 5 years, Andrew was born and I was so nervous about how Murphy would take being bumped down the "totem pole" but he amazed me yet again with his flexibility.
Andrew is a rough little boy on his toys and his poor dog but Murphy takes it with lots of licks just like I imagine a Golden Retriever would.
When people ask about Jack Russells as a breed, I cannot accurately answer because Murphy is not the typical JRT.... he is so much better!
