Happy Hour in Garden City
Any one have any suggestions as to where to go? We're kind of looking for somewhere with a big bar (room to move). We're right by Roosevelt Field Mall.. Any ideas?

Grand Lux also has a nice bar area
More in town there is Waterzooi and Novita.

Houstons and Grand Luxe are by Roosevelt Field.
On Franklin Ave there is Waterzooi that has a nice bar area with small tables. I think Novita next door has a nice bar - but I haven't tried it. Most people I know go to Waterzooi.

City Cellar has a really great bar and a good happy hour menu, and is close to the mall.
Other suggestions I'd make:
legal seafood (mall)
houstons (mall)
novita (in village)
waterzooi (in village)
bk sweeneys uptown grille (in village)

Fairly big - it is its own area not part of the restaurant - there is a glass wall between the bar and the tables. It is pretty popular.

Waterzooi also has mussels and frites (fries) out near the bar that you can eat during happy hour!

There is a Japanese restaurant on the same strip as Grimaldi's on Franklin Ave. that has some good happy hour specials $3 wine, beer and sake. I think it just changed names so I am drawing a blank.
