Has anyone been nervous to take DC out for the first time.
Ive taken Paige out to the doctors and my moms, but im a bit nervous to take her out to the store. Not only am I nervous she will get sick, im nervous abuot her crying and what to do when she does. This weekend we might take her to Target for the first time, i just didnt want to do it myself - Im making sure DH is there so we can experience it together. I guess im being silly.
Im a very nervous person in general so this is a big thing for me. I always find myself looking at what other mothers do so i can figure out what to do myself.
Did anyone else feel like this???
TIA

I was nervous to bring Sarah out due to cold and flu season, so I waited until the 8 week mark. Plus she had colic, so she'd cry hysterically at certain times of the day. I'd time trips to the store around that, since one time in Target I got a lot of nasty looks.

It's totally understandable for you with this weather. It takes me about 5 minutes just to walk to my car with DD to drop her off at my mom's to go to work with all the ice - I'm so nervous. I think the season has everything to do with who takes them out or not.

I think it's normal to be ervous at first, but then you just get over it. I'm constantly dragging Luca around with me and have been since he was about 5 weeks. I don't like being couped up in the house, so when I'm off I take him shopping with me. If he cries in the store I just pop him in the Bjorn and he's happy. I always wind up carrying him and using his stroller as my shopping cart.

Yes. I took a colicky baby to Target and he SCREAMED most of the time I was there. Although he was unknowingly allergic to what i was feeding him at the time. Hopefully yours will sleep! I was so jealous of the quiet babies that other moms were pushing around, thinking mine would never behave like that. Anyway I'd bring a friend or DH the first time out if that makes you more comfortable. It gets easier with practice

Of course you're suposed to be nervous. It's like jumping in a pool. It's a big shock before, but it'll feel good to be liberated!
I still worry about the reactions of others when he cries but everyone still thinks he's cute even crying!
Now DS gets cranky if he doesn't go out and see the world daily and he's only 6 weeks!
