Has anyone been on baby aspirin throughout their pregnancy?
I have been taking one a day for awhile because I have MTHFR, and my RE told me yesterday I can stop taking it. I have an appointment with a regular OB on Tuesday, but I don't feel comfortable going off of it until I at least see the OB. I m/c at 8 weeks last year and I feel this disorder played a part in that. (It's a clotting disorder and prevents the absorbtion of folic acid and b vitamins) I am on a high dose of the vitamins, but I am going to continue the aspirin, also.
Has anyone else been on baby aspirin during pregnancy?

I have MTHFR also. My doctor told be I could stop the baby aspirin when I was 38 weeks (I think) but my water broke at 38 weeks so I never stopped. I continue to take the baby aspirin even now. They told me I don't have to but it can't hurt, so why not.

My SIL, who also has MTHFR, has been on it. She's now about 18 weeks along (I think) and as far as I know hasn't been told to stop.

Me, both entire pregnancies...and it was advised I take it 3 mo's after delivering too.
I had bleeding last pregnancy so they told me to stop taking it when that happened (only lasted 3 days or so) but then I went right back on.

I too MTHFR and am on baby aspirin for my pregnancy. I am also on a folic acid supplement with my prenatal. I will stop later on before my c.

Same here. I even was sent to a hematologist for another opinion on it. They said I could stop taking it, but my OB wanted me to stay on. It doesn't hurt-- it's just annoying to have ANOTHER pill to take, well, chew.

I have MTHFR too and was just put on aspirin by my new doc at 14 wks. I was under the impression that you take it your entire pregnancy. I would wait and talk to your OB before you stop it.
