Has anyone been to Maroni Cuisine in Northport?
We have a gift certificate for there and hope to go soon. Just wondering what to expect. Is it a lot of seafood??

Here's their menu: Maroni's menu
One thing to be aware of is that as they offer you things "Why don't I bring a little appetizer for you to taste...", they ADD IT TO THE BILL.
Someone on this board was going there as a regular customer since it started & then noticed that the little special appetizers they cook would bring them weren't complimentary as they thought.

on the weekends (for dinner) it is a prix fixe tasting menu. They do ask you about any allergies or things you will absolutely not eat. There is no set menu on those nights and it is like 12 small courses. Delicious!!

That's what the gift certificate is for - a tasting for 2. I'm not a seafood eater at all, so I was a little nervous about what they might bring out -- but I'll just let them know now that I know I can.
I'm looking forward to going -- just waiting for the weather to get nicer so we could at least walk around the village afterwards of something.

If this is the place I think it is - very small restaurant, I think they advertise as one of the smallest restaurants on LI - just be aware that they do not accept credit cards of any kind, except MAYBE amex. I haven't gone but heard it's great, but my friend had to run to an atm to get cash when he was there on a DATE because he didn't have enough. I know you have a gift cert., but if you go over, just know that you will need cash.
