Re: Has anyone been to Woodloch
I haven't gone myself, but my best friend's family goes every year and she raves about it. She and her DH also just went to the Woodloch Spa for a night and said it was amazing. I think it was really $$$ though.

DH looooooves this place! He hasn't been in a few years, though. He says that its best iwth a bigger group of people (he does a big family thing). And there is a lot of fun stuff to do. We're planning on going next year.

Used to be better, but it is still a lot of fun. It is a drink the Kool-Aid type of place or you will be miserable.

Re: Has anyone been to Woodloch
we used to go to Woodloch when we were kids...its was a FANTASTIC family place. I havent been in years but I did hear that there are alot more ameninites but the "family" feel has gone away a bit.
when we used to go, the owners used to eat dinner in the dining room along with the guests and they would come around to all the tables to make sure that everything was good. Kind of like the resort on Dirty Dancing....matter of fact portions of that movie were filmed there.
I did look into the new spa resort that they have...its to die for! I want to go with my sister for a weekend of pampering!

Re: Has anyone been to Woodloch
I been there once. It was okay but I would never ever go back. I didnt know what to expect when I went to I brought a decent amount of money. I didnt want to carry it all with me so I hid it in an inside zipper under my clothes in my suitcase. When we went to check out- I figured i'll pay cash for the room rather that put on the CC. I go to take my money out and POOF- It was gone. They did NOTHING at all- no investigation- no asking questions- NOTHING.

DH and his family used to go every summer and loved it. DH and I went once together. It was very nice. They have some different activities to do and it's beautiful.

Re: Has anyone been to Woodloch
my family has gone for the past 20 years on labor day weekend. we love it, but it's not for everyone. it's really cheesy family fun with lots of group activities and such. of course you don't have to participate in activities, but i can see why some families might not be that into it. it's very expensive and if you're not going to do games etc it's probably not worth it.

Re: Has anyone been to Woodloch
the lodge at woodloch is amazing - you can do a spa or intro to spa package, both of which include 3 gourmet meals and tons of cool activities like cooking demos etc. the intro to spa pkg doesn't include spa treatments vs the spa package which does (1 treatment per day). check it out - www.slh.com/lodgeatwoodloch
