Has anyone been told not to use Pre Seed?
I was not told this but I am wondering if the Pre Seed may be killing sperm or doing something harmful in there.
I know it says its sperm friendly but it isn't working.
ETA-DH's sperm count is fine

Re: Has anyone been told not to use Pre Seed?
What would make you think it isn't working? All it is is a sperm-friendly lubricant. It's not going to deliver the sperm to the egg or anything. Most people don't get PG the first time they try anything. Or you may have other issues such as blocked tubes or irregular uterus.
There's no reason why you can't use pre-seed to help you get PG and many people have reported success with it after a few tries.

We used to for 9 months before having the IUI with no sucess and also used it after the IUI.
I know that is doesn't deliver the sperm to the egg and I never expected it to do that.
I have unexplained IF and know that I don't have blocked tubes or an irregular uterus I already had an HSG
Trying to rule things out for myself since nothing seems to be wrong with me

I don't think the preseed would be decreasing your chances...
I thought you said you might have PCOS? Could you have possibly not been ovulating for all of those 9 months? I really don't think the preseed has anything to do with it... it might just be that you can't get pregnant on your own.
I think you mentioned about starting injectables, right? Give that a chance with the IUIs and hopefully it will do the trick for you.

Well I was told I had PCOS and now I am told I don't Don't know what to think anymore-So I am trying to research things myself which can be dangerous on the internet because I feel like I am not being given adequate information from the doctor (s)

Maybe you need to try out a few doctors so you can find someone you TRUST and are comfortable with.
My worry for you is that you're not giving things a chance... most likely nothing will work on the first shot (well it can, but that's not that common - especially for IUIs and Clomid).

I just keep getting conflicting reports from this doctor-I didn't ovulate/I ovulated after the IUI
I have PCOS now he thinks I definetely ovulate on my own
I am a poor responder to clomid now I am told I respond fine
It is extremely frustrating and confusing

Re: Has anyone been told not to use Pre Seed?
I am so sorry that you are going through this but I agree with the other ladies that PreSeed is not what is getting in your way to getting pregnant....
I know you have searched around for a RE that suits you & I am starting to think you are not comfortable where you are (just a hunch). I think you have to to your next appt & tell them you want to get aggressive & hopefully they can figure out what is hindering your efforts. Since you are a poor responder to clomid, they might try you with injectibles & if you are a good responder but the IUI's are not working, they might guide you to IVF...You know I am here for you

Re: Has anyone been told not to use Pre Seed?
I am sorry you are dealing with this. I had unexplained IF for 15 months before finally getting PG with IVF. I tried every trick in the book to get PG and nothing worked. I tried preseed, no preseed, you name it! I doubt it's the preseed. Unexplained IF is so frustrating!!!! Hang in there, it will happen for you!

Re: Has anyone been told not to use Pre Seed?
I agree with Kristin, you need to schedule another consult with your RE and get thorough, clear information. If they aren't sure about you ovulating, they could just monitor you for a cycle...it's not that difficult. But, you may or may not be getting the info correctly and the best way to make sure that you know EXACTLY what is going on is to schedule another consult with your RE, sit down and make sure he explains everything to you so that you understand. You are paying him, you deserve a full and complete explanation of what he thinks, what he sees and what he is going to do about it.

Re: Has anyone been told not to use Pre Seed?
Also just FYI-just because you have a clear hsg does not mean your tubes are clear. I had one and had 3 or 4 ectopic pregnancies-it took us 3 years to find out. I would try 3 or so IUI and move onto IVF if you are not successful.

The radiologist and two RE's told me my tubes "looked good" could they still be blocked? How can they tell?
