Has anyone bought a puppy from Pettite pets in Brooklyn?
they have an in house breeder. What has been your experiences? Good and bad please.. thanks

I don't really know anything about them. I just went to their website and I wouldn't trust them. Looks to me like a glorified pet store.
Find a breeder in your area, you'll get a much better quality dog for a lot less $$$$. At the very least, you cut out the middleman(pet store).

What is an "inhouse breeder"? A reputable breeder is looking to BETTER the breed, not sell their puppies to/through a pet store.
I agree with Gerty- buy from a reputable breeder or look at rescue organizations.

Please stay from those type of places. If you want a dog, please visit your local animal shelter or check out petfinders.com. There are so many homeless pets that need a good home.

Never purchase from a pet store, these unfortunate creatures are puppy mill animals and the mothers spend their entire lives in misery producing puppies because people are foolish and spend $$$ because the puppy has "papers". The worst thing one can do is go to a pet store. Breeders are also not the way to go, there are not that many responsible breeders. A responsible breeder would only breed a dog once every 4 years. If you are a seeking a small dog, such as yorkie, poodle, pug etc. go to Animal Care and Control, 2336 Linden Blvd., Brooklyn or their Manhattan location at 110th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. Hundreds of animals are put to death on a weekly basis. You will find the smallest of dogs to the largest at these shelters. If you live in Nassau and Suffolk counties go to your municipal shelters. NSALA does not take back all their returns and as a result many find themselves in high kill shelters.

Their "in-house" breeder is more than likely a pupply mill down South or in Pennsylvania. Go to puppy mill sites, you will never again go into a pet store after you learn the truth about mills and pet stores.

It is not just them, it is all pet stores, stear clear. Go to Animal Care and Control, 2336 Linden Blvd. There are many, many small purebreds. Give the gift of life this holiday season, adopt a dog, cat, puppy or kitten, the most precious gift you can give...life!
