Has anyone else had a slipped disc while pregnant?
I'm sure some of you may remember my battle with sciatica during these last 10 weeks.
Well, the sciatica stretches and PT were actually making it worse. My chiropractor came to the conclusion that my sciatica is not "typical sciatica pregnancy", and that the problem is a bulging disc that's leaning on my sciatic nerve.
Has anyone else had this during pregnancy? I hear a whopping 1% of pregnant women go through this
I'm about to see my old chiropractor in NY (we're coming back to visit this week), and I'm hoping a few adjustments and hopefully a Medrol dose-pack will help me get back on track.
I hope I'm allowed to take the Medrol--that's what saved me the last time I had a bulging disc...but I wasn't pregnant last time...

I did I just didn't know it until after the fact My pain wasn't as bad as yours. I actually believe the disc I had surgery on is out again because the pain is starting to get as bad as it was before but still not as bad as the agony you are having. I hope your chiropractor can help What about seeing a pain specialist when you're back in NC?

I don't have a slipped disc, but I have a ruptured disc from a compression fracture of my spine. So all this additional weight is compressing my spine even more and I'm in pain everyday. I will say that my sciatica has eased up a little. I have been doing stretches that I learned in PT, which are associated with Pilates.
