Has anyone else's toddler gone through this phase?

So DS is 18 months and since Friday he hasn't really eaten. Friday he ate a banana, waffle, 16oz of milk, 8oz of juice, and a yogurt. Saturday he had 2 banana's, 1/2 a waffle, yogurt, 16 oz of milk and 8oz of juice. Today he only had 1 1/2 banana's, 2 yogurts, 2 applesauces, 16oz of milk and 4 oz of juice. He also isn't napping anymore. Last week he only took naps 3 days and they were short ones, maybe 45 minutes to an hour. I keep trying to give him food at different time and he just won't eat. I am pretty sure his 1 year molars came through (from what I can see anyway) so I am not sure if he is teething. He still needs 2 teeth on both the top and bottom. I have to take him to his 18 month well visit but I was curious if anyone else went through this and what your thoughts were.

Kevin was like that when he was about to hit a new developmental milestone.
It could be teething too.

As long as he's not sick and he's eating good food I wouldn't worry too much unless it goes on for a week or two and then you may want to talk to your son's dr to make sure nothing else is going on.

Right now I'm dealing with a toddler who is eating maybe one or two bites of his lunch and that's it. I figure he'll eat when he's hungry and he's not loosing weight so I'm trying not to stress too much about it.

Alyssa is going through this - she is just about 17 mths old. She is napping fine...but doing the same thing with the no eating.....its soo frustrating! Shes always been a picky eater and never a big eater, but now, its getting a little ridiculous. There are only like 6 foods that she will eat and she eats the same things day in and day out (as I see from your list, your DS is doing the same) Just to give you an idea...this is what she ate today - 1 cereal bar, 5 wheat thin crackers, 2 chicken nuggets, and 3 baby carrots - ALL DAY!Chat Icon Chat Icon I dont know whats going on with her, it could be teething, but she is cranky and seems fine other than the not eating thing.I think its just a phase - a frustrating one at that.Chat Icon
