Has anyone else's toddler rebelled against utensils?
As I type this, she's sitting here with her face in a bowl of soup because she refuses to use utensils. I go through this with every meal And I KNOW I have my husband to thank when he showed her how to drink the milk from her cereal bowl She has perfected even eating soup with a spoon, so it's not a capability issue, it's a poor manners issue and I'm starting to get frustrated.

Re: Has anyone else's toddler rebelled against utensils?
My DS (almost 2 1/2) did this for about a month. It started right after we spent a week on vaca, where I relied mostly on finger foods to minimize the messes in restaurants (chicken nuggets, fries, grilled cheese, etc).
When we got home, every time I wanted him to use his fork or spoon, he would act like he "couldn't". Even though he miraculously would regain the ability if it was something like ice cream in the bowl. He also totally rebelled against anything remotely healthy for that whole month.
Now we've been home four weeks and he's back to his old, healthy-eating utensil-wielding self.
