Has anyone ever....

had a histalopiligram (sp?)? The test done to see if there tubes are blocked? My doctor suggested this due to an ectopic about 2 months ago and I'm not sure what to do.

I have had the Hysterosalpingogram (HSG). I believe it is one of the most crucial tests you can have when ttc. It will reveal the status of your tubes and even your uterine cavity.

In fact, after I had mine, I conceived. As it was explained to me, yesterday. The tentacles of the tubes that grap the egg are usually extremely sticky...the dye can help make conception a bit easier. It also can help remove any mucus in the tube. The dye also can help the filia in the tube.

Did you have a lap for your ectopic ? Sometimes they automatically do a hsg with a lap.

I didn't have a lap I had the chemo injections.
How lind after the HSG can you ttc

You can ttc the same cycle as the hsg. You schedule to have it done,...usually right after AF and before O.

Thank you Redstar.. I thought it would be a lot longer than that, but that is good to know. You've already given me more information than the dr.'s. They told me it's only an 8% chance of the ectopic happening again and said it's up to me. I have an appointment with the specialist Feb.6, so I guess I have to decide by then
