Has anyone ever been in a bridal party where..
Have you ever been in a bridal party where you hardly knew anyone?
The bride is my best friend and I kinda know her fiance but thats it basically. I tend to be real shy around people I dont know and its making me a nervous wreck.
How do you make yourself "more outgoing" in situations like this? I know, have a drink but I dont want it to react on my nerves and wind up stoned! LOL

yep- but the bride actually had a dinner for all of to meet
then we had the shower and the bach party
so by the time the wedding came we were all so excited to see each other again
we still keep in touch!
try to keep an open mind and be yourself- you know the bride- she will introduce you!

I was in a Bridal party in Cleveland with a bunch of people from Toledo. I only knew the bride, the groom, the bride's brother and the bride's BFF. I still did not know anyone untill the rehearsal dinner...by the next afternoon when we were taking pics, we were the best of friends with the help of Jack Daniels and Budweiser we were all great friends.
I don't remember anyones name but it was a great lost weekend!
eta: we were stoned too...so go for it.

Yup. I actually met one of the other BM at the wedding and one when we went to look at dresses. it was a destination wedding in Cali- where the bride lived. I didn't go to the bachelorette party/shower since they were in Vegas and Jordana was only 6 months old. I ended up hanging out most with the BM I didn't know since we were both moms. It was fun.

my friend was in one with 3 other girls she didn't know really well. Now the four of them are really close and they barely talk to the bride!

I was...my best friend from college. I knew noone other than her. I met the groom the weekend of the wedding. It wasn't so bad though. It's such a happy time, everyone is so friendly.

Yep. That was me last year. I went to school with the bride, she moved out of state for college and never moved back home. Anyway, the rest of her bridal party were all "Out of Towners". I got to talk to them on the phone and met them all at her bridal shower. I just introduced myself and took it from there.

Trust me..
If my 2 month old wasnt going, I would drink until I made myself feel comfortable! LOL
But since my baby will be at the reception, I dont wanna be hammered! Somehow, I just dont think that would be appropriate! LOL
