has anyone ever been to Mystic, CT?
DH and I just booked a little weekend trip there for Labor Day weekend. We are staying at a Marriott that is supposed to be close to the seaport and aquarium. Any good restaurant suggestions?

This is going to sound weird-- but DH and I won a two night stay at a marriott and we requested Mystic.. We are waiting on dates- but we may be there end of September-- let me know how it is!

Of course! It looks really nice and I think it has an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa in it. We are only there 3 days but maybe I can squeeze in a spa pedi

there is awesome places on the water right over the border in rhode island. there is also an awesome breakfast place on the main road to town.

If you can, squeeze in Mohegan Sun and a day trip to Rhode Island to do the NEwport Mansion tours. Very nice! Have fun!
ETA- DH and I went about 14 years ago so things might have changed a tad but we stayed at the Whaler's Inn which was a beautiful B&B. Very charming.

Danielle and I and our Friends Went to Mystic this past year for our second time. We loved it. We stayed at the Steamboat inn which is right on the water in the heart of Mystic. It is actually one block from Mystic Pizza. We went to Mystic Pizza and it was great as the last time we were there. If you goto Mystic you must eat at the Daniel Packer Inn and the Voodoo Lounge too. Great Food.
If you want an inexpesive place to stay near Mohegan than I recommend Microtell in. It is 2 minutes from the casino.

I haven't been to mystic in a years....but when ever my family would go we went to a place called Abbets (sp ?) Its super casual....they serve lobster rolls and there were benches to sit at by the water. I have to say it was some of the best lobster I have had. I hope its still there.

That breakfast place is awesome if it's the one I am thinking of. It's a tiny little place with just a few tables but they have the best food.
