they always have the lowest prices - and Circuit City will honor the "price match" (that's how DH and I bought our TV last summer) as long as they have the same model in stock.

just curious though if anyone bought a TV there and what your experience was. we've been to the Commack store 2x (not lately) and the sales guys followed us around the entire time we were there and every 10 seconds someone else asked "can I help you"? that irked me. Chat Icon

we ended up leaving empty handed both times.

What TV are you looking for (Make/Model) and what's the best price you seen so far for it...

well they had a 32" Sharp LCD in last week's Sunday newspaper advertised for $567.

we're thinking about getting a flat panel TV for the bedroom.

eta: it's 720p, not 1080p

model # LC32SB24U

yea - I can't find it cheaper anywhere. Circuit City has the same model for $699, and they will price match. but the ad was from last week.

I think 720p is fine for the bedroom, espcially since it's only 32".

Don't forget about PC Richards... They will even do better then a price match... Call them up and see if they will do better then the $567. I got them down from $2849 to $2249 on the 52" I bought a few weeks ago.

My parents bought a 50" LG from there. They've had no problems with it.

Re: Has anyone ever bought a flat panel TV from 6th Avenue Electronics?

We bought a 42" Plasma from there about 2 months ago. We had a good experience. DH pretty much knew what he wanted. We did get a salesperson who came up to us right away- and did follow us around for a few minutes, but then left us alone while we figured out what we wanted.

We got a great deal, though! And they price guarantee within 30 days. The TV we bought went down in price like 2 weeks after, and they refunded us the difference with absolutely no arguments!

You can negotiate pricing with them too. We didn't- but a friend of ours also bought a TV from them and got them down in price. Chat Icon

Re: Has anyone ever bought a flat panel TV from 6th Avenue Electronics?

My DH and I bought a 46 inch Mitsubishi LDC with the expensive mounting bracket from there 2 months ago. We even had them install it for us over our new fireplace. We went to the 6th avenue electronics in commack. They did follow us around like chickens at first but I told the manager right away that if he even wanted the possibility of a sale that they needed to back off! We dealt with the sales manager Uncle George (he goes by) and he was awsome!!! We were able to negotiate the price down on everything including the monster cables. We got about 600 dollars off the price of it all!
Highly Recommend.. and the installation crew was terrific!! (and we are picky people)

We bought a 52" Sharp Aquos from the Commack store &, considering that it was the day after Thanksgiving, had a great experience there. Once we got a salesman, he stayed with us & really helped us with our decision & our sale. My cousin has also bought several things from the Commack store this past year (an LCD TV, video camera & a digital camera). She recommended them to us & we'd definitely go back there again & recommend them to others. HTH! Chat Icon

A friend of ours bought one there and loved it. He said it was the cheapest he could find it.

We were looking at them last Thansgiving and were a bit doubtful ourself but apparently people are happy with them.

Yes. DH and I bought an LG flat panel recently from them. We were very pleased. They worked with us on the price and we got it for a good deal.
