Has Anyone Ever Bought Furniture from Target or JCP?
Looking for a bookcase for DC's room, and they both have pretty good prices. Has anyone ever bought from one of these retailers before? Or, can you suggest somewhere else to go...IKEA?

DS's crib and changing table came from walmart  but it's a gorgeous set and high quality, if I do declare  (It is made by BabyMod... it's name is 'parklane') We also saved a bundle becuase the crib was something like $320 and the changing table/dresser was something like $300
We have a very modern home, so we were thrilled to buy affordable pieces that were featured in modern design sites:
budget modern nursery (even including DS's mobile!)
We also own a lot of ikea furniture...
As long as you are good at assembling furniture (tighten everything very well and never end up with a spare bolt  ), you can get some serious bargains at ikea, walmart, and target.
If shopping online, my advice is that you do not buy a furniture item with less than 10 customer reviews... and make sure almost all reviews are wonderful.... If they are, you know you're getting decent stuff.

our bedroom set and couch are from JCP... we've had them about 4 years, and they are holding up really well so far. definitely would recommend them!
