Has anyone ever gotten an email from facebook...
to change their password because someone was tampering with their's?
I got one the other day and immediately did so. I have emailed them to see if I can find out who was doing it.
Not sure WHAT they are looking for as my site is so boring-lol!!

thats usually not legit
its a way to phish for your password
id rechange it via logging directly into facebook

I did. I have sent an email to facebook asking about this though. I will find out in a few days. Just wondering if anyone else ever got an email like this.

I'm not on facebook, but I used to get these emails about PayPal all the time. They are scams. Don't ever click the link in the email.

I used to also get them for PayPal and also AOL. I just ignored them and went through the actual site and changed my password. I usually forward the emails to the company to let them know.

I can see paypal as they want to get account info but facebook has no money attached to it.

Hackers aren't always interested in money.
I would do just as you did - log in (not through the link in the email) and change my password just to be safe.

there is a spot on Facebook to add a credit card info to send gifts, etc.
If you did click on their link you've just given someone a password. If you use the same password for things like email, credit cards, etc. you should change it.
