has anyone ever had an overnight diaper disintegrate from too much pee?
so i went to change ds this morning, and he had peed so much that the top of the diaper (at his waist) had OPENED up. his whole bottom and torso were COVERED in the goop that is supposed to stay INSIDE the diaper. it was really gross.
i am so annoyed, i'm thinking of writing to huggies. or maybe i'm overreacting.
has this happened to anyone?

Wow! That has never happened but then again, I never used overnights. I would definitely call the company. It may have been a defective diaper/box and at least they can possibly send you more. I'm glad he is okay though and didn't ingest any of it!

ive never had this happen either...but again we dont use overnights either...i would call the company and just let them know what happened...like the PP said it could have been a defective box or just that diaper...

We use overnights, and we have never had that problem...maybe it was just a flukie thing? But, it doesn't hurt to contact Huggies, and at the very least, they could send you some free diapers!

No, never had that happen. We use the Overnight diapers plus a diaper doubler though b/c DD drinks so much & pees so much.

it has happened a few times with my dd when she peed alot, no big deal, just clean him up and move on with the day

This has been happening A LOT with DS -- we use Pampers Cruisers and Baby Dry. It's a pain to clean up and I'm worried he's going to try to put a handful of the particles in his mouth and choke.
Sometimes he's not even that wet (I change him frequently) -- but he sweats a lot (even with the A/C on) and I think it contributes to the diaper breaking down.

I've also had this happen a few times! GROSS! The first time it was not obvious that the jelly things came from the diaper and it totally freaked me out

I went to change DS this morning and he had gel-like stuff all over his belly (looked like glue) and his diaper was FULL of pee. Guess I'll try overnites - it looks dangerous - could it be?

One day I had the top open and the stuff was everyone and such a pain to clean. It happened a few days in a row and so I started thumbing thru the package of overnights and noticed some weren't sealed properly to begin with. I wrote to huggies. Got a coupon for a free package, an apology and a bunch of other huggies coupons. Worth the effort to write to them. I have had some stuff leak out often but when that seam opens and it is everywhere - yuck and a pain. Write to them - get some coupons...takes minimal effort and worth a free pack!

it has happened for the past 3-4 nights in a row! i am totally calling huggies. meanwhile i bought a size bigger to see if that helps.
i am also going to look into diaper doublers as an alternative, although i'm having a hard time finding them where i live in NC...
