Has anyone ever had to have a ring cut off?
Since I had DD my rings havent been fitting on my left hand(they fit on the right). Yesterday I put them on and I cant get the wedding band off. Where do you go to have them cut off? Do you go to a doctor or a jeweler?Can they do it and put it back together? Its a band with 5 diamonds, but the back is plain and thick. Any remedies for getting a ring off? Ill will be so sad if they have to cut it.

Elevate your hand for a little, then keeping it up, soak in cold water ot ice, then use soap or butter, it will come off...

use some dish washing soap and slick up your finger.

I had to have my wedding band cut off when I was 6 months pregnant. My DH did it with wire cutters. My ring sounds similar to yours. They were able to sod it back together without a problem.

I had mine cut off in the hospital --- i got them reset bc of the 5 diamonds...they got loose.

My jeweler had to cut mine - it was too thick to do on my own. I had it resized after I had my 2nd baby.

I had my cladagh (sp?) ring cut off at a jeweler and the were able to put it back together no problem at all.

I have used shampoo to get mine off. I would also try conditioner. I find my rings get very slippery when I am in the shower and I wash my hair.
