Has anyone ever quit in the middle of the year?
I know this is sooo taboo, however I am in a terrible situation. I teach inclusion in a private school (don't want to give TMI ) the school, people, and program is horrible. I am so upset I ever took this job, everyday is a struggle. I am thinking about giving them 2mos notice .....Opionions please!

I'm sorry you're having such a rough year. 
Honestly, I'd stick it out until June, and just start applying elsewhere for next year - if you want another teaching job after this, you'll want a good recommendation from the people you work for now, and you're unlikely to get one if you leave mid-year.

I agree. I'm sorry that you are going through this, but try to tough it out until the end of the year. You don't want to go burning bridges

i left one after being there for just about 3 months but i got another job offer.
I was in a Private school and the place was so screwed up i was so happy to get out of there.. plus the money was so much better elsewhere

If you're miserable, then you should definitely leave asap! I did it once and I don't regret it at all! Your peace of mind is more important than any dumb job.

I agree with this 100%. I took a job in Cold Spring Harbor a few years ago, thinking it would be the start of the career I'd always dreamed of (I was a TA).
Well, it was the most horrible, miserable experience of my entire life. The teacher I was working with was a backstabbing *****, and it got to the point where getting up in the morning was like pulling teeth--I would think about calling in sick every single day.
I almost stuck it out, so I could have the job reference, but I only lasted until March. The day I left there was the best day of my life. It was a toxic environment if I've ever seen one. Leaving was the best decision I made.
I say, if it's making you that miserable, it's time to put in your notice and look elsewhere!
