Has anyone gone to a taping of The Daily Show (Not celebrities and entertainment-related, per se)

DH got tickets for next Wednesday. The email says physical tickets start getting handed out around 2:30 but we were wondering how early we really should go? Anyone been and can help out?

I went several years back and didn't get there crazy early. It's a small studio so you will end up w good seats no matter what.

GO EARLY!!!
We had tickets to 2 tapings. The first time we went, we got online and they hand out these paper tickets to the first 200 people or so (I can't remember that exact number). We were 199 and 200. So we got through the main door and then told there was only room for one of us. We passed and got VIP tickets to a different taping. My advice is go early and get on the line ASAP.
That said, it was a lot of fun and very cool. Jon Stewart is my celebrity crush

We've been, I wouldn't get there too early, otherwise you will be waiting around for 5 hours in the cold.

We had tickets , waited on line & we were cut. Then we got VIP tickets but that day was the blizzard. So we gave up

We just went in December. It actually doens't matter how early you go, b/c the number you have on your reservation will determine the order you get in and if you will make it in at all. Just follow the time directions on the website. I think we had to go get our tickets, waste some time and then go back to get on line. DO follow the times on the website though....
