Has anyone gotten new stair railings (banisters)?
Indoor...I don't even know where to begin looking for something I like. We have a straight staircase, about 5 steps, then a landing, (180 deg turn) then about 6 or 7 steps. We had the typical wrought iron and we ripped it out. I want wood.
Can you show me pics of what you have and recommendations on where to go?

I don't have pictures, but we used Golden Oak on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore. We are really happy with the job they did. We have a split level house. The railing goes along our landing, down the stairs and then along another landing. There is a gooseneck in there too. Ours cost about 1300. The landings were about 6.5 feet of railing and then about 7 steps or so.
We had a few companies give us quotes and they were the cheapest and we checked several of their references and they were all happy.

Karissa - that's similar to what I want! Thanks for posting. Would you mind telling me how much you paid? FM if you want.
