Has anyone had a party at Build-A-Bear?
My DD's 6th birthday party will be at the one in our local mall. I know that they don't do food, so I scheduled the party for 2pm, so plenty of time for parents to feed the kids before and after.
While there is a food court - very close to the store actually - it is usually PACKED on the weekends so I want to avoid it. Plus one of the kids in her class has a peanut allergy so that makes me nervous.
Should I just not do cake or cupcakes at all? If not, would you include that info on the invite?
TIA!

I would still do cake or cupcakes to have something to feed them.

Re: Has anyone had a party at Build-A-Bear?
I didn't have one but attended one for a 2 year old. there was no food or cupcakes. it was little odd but I was def. not expecting food because I heard they don't serve it in the store. it was not mentioned on the invite that there would not be and I think it was held at lunch time.
if you want to do cupcakes and your not allowed to have it at the store just send them home with it.

I would have someone in your family snag a couple of tables in the food court area way before the party. Put tablecloths and balloons and serve cake. The food isn't a big deal to me since that is definitely not a meal time. But cake at a bday party (or cupcakes)...definitely!

I didn't have one but attended one. The party was at 11 and after the party we had pizza and cake in the food court.(it was mentioned in the invite). The food court was not very crowded, but you could do what the pp mentioned and snag a couple of tables.

Re: Has anyone had a party at Build-A-Bear?
Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately on Saturdays this mall is extremely crowded and there will be no way to snag tables. I am also not allowed to bring any food into BAB so no snacks or anything... I may just try to get boxed cupcakes as favors. The kids will sing to her in the store and we will do cake with family another time.

I looked into a BAB party before. The BAB near us has a Cheesecake Factory at the same mall so I was going to do Cheesecake Factory afterwards. We didn't book it though.
I think cupcake favor sounds great.
