Has anyone had their taxes amended for the tax credit?
Did u see an accountant and what did they charge you?
ETA - normally I would just do this myself but we filed single/separately for 2009 and are married now so I don't want to do soemthing wrong that's why I'm considering in accountant...

have it done with an accountant. they shouldn't charge you more then $100-$200 to amend EACH return to include the credit (if they have to correct anything else, they may charge you a little more). you each will only be entitled to half the credit. it works out to be the same but you since you filed seperatly you will get seperate checks.
