Re: Has anyone heard of/used this ENT in Huntington?
LOVE Dr. Spencer. I cannot say enough GREAT things about him. We saw him because my 2 1/2 year old son had 6 ear infections in a 3 month span. NOTHING was ridding him of this infection. Dr. Spencer spent 45 FULL minutes with us the first time we saw him. He gave us ideas what to do for my son, and told us to come back in one month. We were back one month later and 2 more EIs later, and we opted for tubes.
Dr. Spencer was WONDERFUL with my son. He explained every little detail of the surgery with us, answered our questions, and was just so reassuring.
On the day of surgery, he came to get my son, and looked me in the eyes and said, "Do not worry. He will be FINE!" DH and I went into the waiting room at Huntington Hospital, and about 15 minutes later Dr. Spencer himself (NOT a nurse, but the man himself) came to get us, and he escorted us to the recovery room all the while explaining what to do for my son post-op.
HIGHLY recommend him!!!

Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for this post. My son has had the same experience as yours with the EIs and I know that I should just opt for the tubes but I am terrified of him having surgery with anesthesia. I was worried that I wouldn't like him because he was recommended by my ped. who I don't love lately, but now I feel a bit reassured!

Love him too. Just went to him for the first time two weeks ago with my 2 1/2 year old who had tubes last year. He was very kind, patient, and really explained things very well. I highly reccomend him.

Thanks. If your child got tubes...did it help? Did the infections stop?

Re: Has anyone heard of/used this ENT in Huntington?
Yes they did...immediately. She was on antibiotics for 4 months straight. She even had the antibiotics shots, and nothing helped. Then she had the tubes and that was it. It has been a year and she is so much healthier and her speech is tremendous. The tubes only work for about a year, hers fell out, but she is so much better. I just went to Dr. Spencer because my old ENT moved, and I was really happy with him. Feel free to FM me if you have any questions.
