Has anyone listed a car on Lease Trader?
If so, please share your experience! TIA!
We need to break our lease and we're trying to decide if it makes more sense to list it on Lease Trader or just work out a deal with the dealership we are buying our new car from. We have roughly 18 months left on the lease.

We did this, but we used Swap-A-Lease. A woman in Florida wanted the car so she actually came here to pick it up! We had absolutely no issues at all, she was very easy to work with. At the time I think we had 6 months left on the lease.

This is interesting... so how does it really work? are you signing over the lease to the buyer? or are they just making payments on your behalf?

The remainder of the loan is just transfered over to the interested buyer, so it wil 100% be out of our name. Pretty much like selling the car to someone else. There are some bank fees involved, though.

Everything is completely transferred into their name. The leasing company will have you both sign paperwork to do the transfer. We also opted to have the person sign a separate document acknowledging that if anything happened (damage, non-payment, etc) that DH and I were not liable. Just made us feel better.
