Has anyone moved back to the East Coast after living elsewhere?
My parents are getting older and truth is, I've been homesick for many years now. DH and I have been in the Midwest 20+ yrs. now and are considering moving back to the East Coast. There are a ton of pros and a ton if cons. First we'd be going to a higher cost of living, leaving good friends and we'd have to deal with renting out two properties we own out here. But my children (all 7 and younger) would be able to spend more time with my parents and my sister, be in better schools and love the many things to do/see on the East Coast. I know this ultimately will be a difficult decision that only DH and I can make but was hoping for any insight/advice/input from those on here that have made the move back. Thanks do much in advance!!!

My DH and I lived in the midwest for almost 10 yrs. IMO the quality of life is better out there, but I much rather be closer to my family. I really don't have much advice except for save a lot of $$. LOL :) If you do move... do it now before home prices go back up and the kids get any older. It just gets harder.

Thanks so much for replying...we wouldn't be interested in owning again for at least a few yrs. Our main goal would be to get the kids in good schools. We are thinking if looking in CT. Are you saying quality of life is better in the Midwest b/c of the lower cost of living?
