Has anyone remodeled a small kitchen on a budget?
I am kind of looking for ballpark estimates and any recommendations?
Not sure of a kitchen designer will be too $$$ or if I should go with a general contractor.
Someone in DH's family spent $50,000 and I am not looking for that at all!

How small? Dancinbarefoot did a kitchen in a townhouse recently but she has a lot of cabinets, so it's not very small. She wanted to keep to a specific budget b/c it was not a planned renovation (was an emergency) but I think she decided on some upgrades in the end. Send her FM. I am sure she has ideas.

We spent well under 10K but, did the work ourselves. It's really okay to do. But, you have to patience and time.
