Has anyone shopped at the Habitat ReStore in Suffolk?
Has anyone shopped at the Habitat ReStore in Suffolk? I was wondering how the merchandise is, and whether it's worth the trip...

Re: Has anyone shopped at the Habitat ReStore in Suffolk?
if your local it doesnt hurt to check it out, but if your coming from far away i would say pass.
I decided to check it out and when i got there i was very shocked at how old everything was. It's pretty much just a random warehouse of everything and they really dont have anything good.

Re: Has anyone shopped at the Habitat ReStore in Suffolk?
I have been meaning to go but haven't had the chance. It is probably like every other store (marshall's, home goods, tj max) it is mostly likely hit or miss. I have a friend who shops there but she mentioned it is in huntington which I was able to locate the address and she bought tile for her backsplash and found some other great stuff.

Re: Has anyone shopped at the Habitat ReStore in Suffolk?
My friend bought tons of things for their house there in the last month. They've been raving about it and we're going on Monday to look for things for our house. I'm totally psyched to go! They just got a 500 dollar front door for 60 bucks there.

Like Rachel said they have lots of doors and windows. My DH bought a Whirlpool dryer there for $50 that works great(we had to rewire the plug because we had a different outlet but that was no biggie.) They always have sinks and tubs-jacuzzi tubs too. I think its definitely worth the trip

My friend's father bought wood plantation blinds for $5. each.
I've been meaning to go, to see if they have any wood doors I could sand/repaint but never get around to it.

My DH has donated lots of stuff to them over the years. One of my neighbors got a few windows there. We've had better luck finding new doors & windows on Craigslist.

Wow, I can't believe we pass by the place all the time! With it that close, I definitely want to at least stop by. We're having work done on the house this year, so I may look into donating some stuff.
Thanks for the link!

I'm going to check this place out. I think it's worth the trip. What do you have to loss. You could find a great deal. We are looking for two exterior doors, so for us we think it's worth taking the trip.

Re: Has anyone shopped at the Habitat ReStore in Suffolk?
This place is GREAT!!!!!!!!
I have been there and I wlil go back. It's the kind of place that you always have to go back to ebcause their stuff changes so dramatically week to week.
My church just did a build-out and got TONS of stuff from there. $500 doors for like $20. If you know what you are looking for, it is a HUGE bargain
