Has anyone sold scrap metal?
I called a couple of places, but they don't do residential pick up. dH just took down our old steel shed and we wanted to have scrap metal picked up. I was trying to remember the name of the company from the cheesy cable commercial with 15 year old girls talking about scrap metal pick up, but no luck lol
Any recommendations?

I've never heard of them picking up. My dad & DH uesd to bring scrap metal to 2 different places on Denton Ave in NHP. I'll check & see if they remember the names tonight.

about two years ago, an acquaintance lived off of the scrap metal he would pick up from people. There is a place in Oceanside on Lawson blvd that these people I know would sell it to.

I think its two brothers (or 3 brothers?) and they're in suffolk somewhere
those commercials are the best/worst!

Same here. I've gone with DH and my FIL a few times to a place where they drop it off (but this is in Brooklyn). Only guys I've ever seen pick up are the guys from that show Scrappers

dh brings scrap from work to arrow scrap

Whenever that commercial would come on, I used to always to DH "I hope when DD is 15 years old and is feeling troubled about what to do with her scrap metal, that she's smart enough to call another 15 year old friend for advice"

This commercial made me cringe and I said something to DH one day when it was on and it turns out this woman is a really good friend of DHs family. I was so mortified, LOL.
She works in St Cats doing medical transcription for radiology. Funny thing, she sounds nothing like that IRL!

Service Scrap? I know they're in that area but I thought it was Daly Blvd.
