Has anyone taken diflucan while pregnant?
I found out yesterday I have a yeast infection. My ob/gyn prescribed diflucan. I am scared to take it because I've read online that its a class C pregnancy drug. When he gave me the prescription, he told me it was safe for pregnancy, but DH picked up the prescription for me and the pharmacist asked if I was pregnant and when he said yes, she asked if the doctor was aware of this when he prescribed it. I am on progesterone suppostitories so I guess using suppostitories to treat the yeast infection doesn't work. He also gave me an anti-fungal cream, should I just use that and see if it clears up? Or should I trust the doctor that he knows what I am doing?

Re: Sorry for TMI - yeast infections and pregnancy
I tend to trust pharmacists more than doctors. Is that weird? I would call the doctor and tell him you don't feel comfortable taking the drug- is tehre another option.

Re: Sorry for TMI - yeast infections and pregnancy
My brother's gf is a pharmacist, and recently when I got medication, she would question why they gave me certain drugs.
She just went through my drugs (that I am no longer using) and told me what was garbage and what to chuck in the toilet.
She said that a good pharmacist will call the doctor if they prescribe something that won't work, or will be harmful.
