Has anyone taken IMITREX?
I have had such a bad headache for dayssss 
I honestly can not take it anymore. 
Anyway, I went to the doctor and he prescribed imitrex. He said, it sounds like cluster migraines.
Anyone have any experience with this medicine?
I just hope I feel better soon, especially since I'm leaving for the Bahamas on Monday...I would hate to feel sick on vacation.

Yes it works well for me. The only side effect is NO HEADACHE!! I hope it works for you

Imitrex is the only thing after years if trying other meds that gets rid of my migraines.

Unfortunately, I will not know if it works until tomorrow, when I can take it.
Is it true you can only take 150mg a day???

I've never needed to take more than two pills for one headache (and I'm on 50mg now) - one and then if no relief and seond an hour later.

Ok...that is what my doctor prescribed for me..50mg.
He said, the same thing about an hour later if no relief.
So, I guess it's strong!
Does it make you tired or anything?

Well, I get severe migraines... Unfortunately, Imitrex did not work for me, (even the injections) I am on a daily med to prevent the migraines from occurring (though that hasn't even been working).
Now I am trying Maxalt and Reglan (for nausea) when the headache starts.
We'll see how that goes.
I've heard Imitrex works for a lot of people..I hope it works for you!!!!

The headaches make me tired, so most of the time, I need to lay down (need the dark and quiet as well). But I've taken it when I've had a migraine at work and I don't think the meds made any sleepier than the groggy feeling I get from the headache itself.

Oh...I'm so sorry!!!
I actually got an injection today which helped a little, then tomorrow I can start to take imitrex.
Do you have a headache everyday?
I just can't believe a headache can last this long.
How do you work? I can't take it!
I hope you feel better too!

Yeah - there is a maximum - just be careful - one of the most common side effects : LOCKJAW!!!

I've been taking imitrex since it first came out. Do they have pills now? (I don;t get migraines so much anymore)
I've had no side effects. It just amkes it go away.
After my car accident I had a headache for 8 straight weeks. Accupuncture finally cured it. Lately I get tension headaches, sinus headaches and TMJ headaches more than migraines.
You don't need to take a lot of Imitrex. it WORKS
