Re: Has anyone tried making this?
I have not made that one, but I did make a baseball cake with all of those stars.
They came out great, but ti was a PITA doing all those stars, but I made 2 and with the balls, you have to do them on an angle, since some are kinda underneath.
Make it the night before and I am sure it will come out great.

Re: Has anyone tried making this?
i didn't make that cake, but i just made these cakes for brendan's birthday. it was actually very easy, just time consuming. You'll need a #16 star tip, tip couplers, and decorating bags. you should also get the wilton icing colors to get vibrant colors and not water down the frosting like food coloring would. they sell all of these things at michael's. i just used pillsbury classic white frosting and mixed the coloring in. good luck! i'm sure it will turn out great!

I made a lion cake. Similar idea. Just make sure you spray AND flour the pan. When I made the lion, the whole face ripped off and I had to decorate it free hand- not easy.
