Has anyone used a car service/limo with DC?
We are coming to NY for over a week and plan on renting a car, but we're flying into LaGuardia and it would be over $200 cheaper if we pick up the rental car in Massapequa (near where we're staying & we could return it to LaGuardia when we go home). But the problem is getting someone to pick us up in the middle of a Friday afternoon, so we're thinking about using a car service and we'd still save approx. $100. I guess we can just intall DD's carseat in the limo/car service? Has anyone done this?

We will be doing it for two car seats this summer... coming and going to the airport and then in the minivan when we arrive at our destination.
Just mention it to the limo compay when you book your ride. It happens often enough.

I did it and we did not use a carseat. I just held him. In cars for hire you do not legally need a carseat.

Yup, it was about 3 years ago. The company we used would install a car seat they provide, but if we used our own we had to install it ourselves (liability issue). It was easy since the car had LATCH. I told them when I booked the car and they even called my cell the day before we got in to confirm that we didn't need their car seat.
