Has anyone worked with the sliding scale program at Columbia?
I was told about a sliding scale program that Columbia hospital offers and was wondering if anyone has used it? If so how does it work? Was it a big savings for IVF?
Thanks

Curious about the answer as well.
Did you go for a consult there? What was your impression of their program?

How did the appointment go?
What was your overall impression? Cost wise how did they compare?

Choosing a clinic is turning out to he harder than I imagined. Trying to balance quality and price? I have no insurance coverage and want to make sure I am getting the best value.

I can tell you that RSOFNY appears to be the lowest coast on LI when you do the math. There are no hidden fees and great staff but still coastly. Look into Columbia and New Hope only thing is they are in the city. Best wishes

Re: Has anyone worked with the sliding scale program at Columbia?
I went to Columbia and ended up getting PG on my own the cycle before I was to start IVF. The hours were perfect. I was always in and out. My consult was the longest and I waited no more than 10 min in the waiting room and then the time it took for the Dr.
As for costs. I never did a cycle there but my sister did and hers was was 7K plus drugs. I do know that the first cycle is cheaper there then the others. She got PG on her first so I dont know what the other costs are.
I live on LI and work in the city so the monitoring times worked out perfect for me. i would go before work and still make it to work on time. I figured the worst thign would be if during a cycle things fell on a weekend then I would jsut have to drive in.
