Has Anyone Written a Book, got something published?
or consider themselves a writer?
I have a few good stories inside me and although I don't have a literary education or background I would like to know how to even begin.
TIA!

hi!!
it is VERY hard, though nothing is impossible, to get things published

you can go the self publishing route..or try to find an agent.
most publishing houses do not take unsolicited manuscripts. they need to come through a literary agent's office.

I haven't had anything published, but I work in publishing.
You would most likely need an agent ( esp for fiction.) You can try starting with submitting essays/short stories to journals & contests.
Good Housekeeping is having a short story contest right now.

So I have non-fiction, somewhat biographical, somewhat humor..etc.
Oh so many things in my head.
I think short stories or essays could be a good start.
