I have very long, naturally curly hair and I generally use A LOT of product to tame my mane, Chat Icon but lately my hair is a super frizzy! It's not from the humidity bc my hair is usually OK in the summer bc of the products that I use. Could this be due to pregnancy? Has anyone else's hair texture changed? I feel like chopping it all off!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Has the texture of your hair changed?

Yes.. the texture of my hair changed instantly. I have pretty straight (maybe wavy) hair and now its all frizzy and curly and HORRIBLE. No matter what shampoo I use it never looks nice and no matter how much I try to straighten it it just doesnt work. I hate it.

It has become very slick and oily the past few weeks, but I started using baby shampoo and it has helped a lot!

I have had a lot of dry scalp issues throughout this pregnancy. I have tried everything to manage it. Now it's a bit better, but holy hannah it was really itchy for a while. AND I've never had that before.Chat Icon

My hair has gotten VERY frizzy. None of the products that usually work are doing a thing anymore.

My hair has become more manageable and less frizzy. I also think it's gotten thicker and shinier.

My hair has been on the dry side for awhile now because I have colored it so much. But NOW it just looks horrible. It is super dry, and looks really unhealthy. I get it trimmed regularly and I still have the worst split ends ever.Chat Icon

That happened to my mom! Her hair was naturally curly, and it straightened out with each baby. After the 4th, it looked like she had JHS.

I think curls and hormones are related somehow, so it's probably due to pregnancy. Talk to your salon and see if they recommend an anti-frizz. Good luck!!

YES! I thought I was going crazy, so thanks for posting this.

I have naturally frizzy, wavy/curly hair. I usually dry and straighten it. But I've been trying to go back to doing it curly because I know once DC comes I will not have time to do my hair straight. WELL, my hair no longer curls at all when I try to wear it curly. It just totally frizzes. UGH!!!!
