HATES her crib.....
So my DD is 9mths and has spent very little time in her crib...my fault as I cannot do CIO so if she wakes up in her crib and cries I take her into our bed...I know bad mommy...but for her naps during the day I have started putting her in the crib and the minute she hits the mattress she wakes up and starts to cry.
I can then take her out, take her downstairs and she will fall asleep immediately on the couch.
I know she is not used to it but is there anything I can do to help her enjoy it more.
I put nice soft sheets on and one of her cuddly toys. She doesnt have any crib toys....I wonder would that work...
Thanks

Re: HATES her crib.....
How bout maybe letting her stay in her crib with you in the room so she can used to the new atmosphere? I put DD in her crib even when she was in our room in the bassinet when i folded her clothes, cleaned her room.
Especially, it must be so scary to fall asleep in a comfy secure place, than wake up to strange surroundings.
Also maybe letting DC fall asleep in the crib with you nearby for naps so she falls asleep in the same place she is going to wake up in.
As soon as you master the naps, move onto bedtime
Our DD has been sleeping her crib and loving it since 2 months old.

Re: HATES her crib.....
Thanks ...I was actually thinking about moving her crib into our room until she got used to it. I had her in a bassinet in our room until she was 6mths ....I have been BF so it was easier for me but now I Am paying for it...I think for the next one they will go into the crib much earlier so they get used to it.
Thanks a lot
