haunted house- tooo scary?
Bryan is obsessed with haloween decorations and scary things- like they have in Michaels- He doesnt find them scary at ALL. He loves skulls and ghosts and scary noises? I know it sounds strange, i thought for sure he would be scared of this stuff but he is not and he loves it. Everytime we go to the store he wont let me leave the haloween area. Anyhow do you think its a good idea to bring him to one of those haunted houses? Its really close to our house and I dunno He might LOVE it- but the website says its not reccommended for children under 12. Am I crazy for even thinking of this?

The ones at the store are fine cause most of them don't move and they are fake, so the kids won't get as scared.
The ones at the real haunted house's are people dressed up, so its going to be a lot scarier for the kids, and since they said not for kids under 12, I'm sure its going to be VERY scary!! I wouldn't take him but thats, JMO.

ITA. My DS is 4 and he loves the Halloween decorations at the stores. We go to party city all the time just to browse.
But there is no way he could handle the haunted house. I went with DH and a group of friends to one in Babylon and I was scared. They had this clown room and it was just way to much even for me .
I don't know where you are located but the have a haunted tunnel in patchogue. Its at the Woodside Garden Center. Its just decorated scenes. Nothing jumps out at you. My DS loved that. Just an idea if you want to take him somewhere fun.

Re: haunted house- tooo scary?
There's a kid friendly type haunted house at Woodside Nursery in Patchogue. It's small, not closed in, no actors and it's kid friendly. I've brought Amber since she is obsessed with Boonicks (her word for boogeymen). I've even caught her watching horror movies sometimes late at night w/her father (she loves Michael Myers, just like Mom ). I don't encourage her liking of it, but I was into horror movies at 3 and I didn't suffer from childhood fears.
I didn't see the post above me Woodside nursery rocks!
