Haunted Houses
my friends have asked dh and I to join them in a trip to Philly to go to this 13 floor haunted house..normally this would be totally my thing, but it says pregnant women should not participate...we havent told anyone we are expecting yet..how do I dodge this?
and does anyone know why haunted houses are a no no during pregnancy?

I don't know too much about it, butI think it has something to do with getting scared.
DH and I were watching a movie and there was a part that I jumped and he asked if I was OK.

Re: Haunted Houses
Maybe also the chemical involvment as well? (Fog machines, falling/tripping hazards, etc.). You know how some teens push and shove to get away from the fake Michael Meyers, etc.?
If it's any consolation, I went to an Anthrax show at six weeks. I knew I was PG but I had the tickets and really-really wanted to go. We were close to the mosh pit which made my brother anxious but everything was fine (and as a side note, my daughter loves ROCK ).

Re: Haunted Houses
Funny that you bring this up because i heard a commercial for the Bayville Haunted House and I was thinking how i would love to go but it's probably not a good idea being that i will be 7 months pregnant!
I think that the combination of being startled, mixed with the fact that it is dark and there are a lot of hazards are probably the reason they say it's off limits.
