Have a question RE: what to dress newborn boy in for the summer
So- a friend of mine (also on LIF) is due on June 18th with a baby boy.
I asked her what her baby clothes style was because I see so much cute stuff and I want to buy it for him
She said she isn't sure because it will be hot and she doesn't really know what she should dress him in...just a onesie? Shorts?
In your experience, what did you dress your brand new baby in during the summer months?
She asked me to post the question because she is unable to right now.
I hope this makes sense...

DS was born at the beginning of last summer. he wore a onesie the whole summer--no socks, shorts, nothing except a hat when he went out. he had a few cute outfits that had shorts but rarely wore them because they were a PITA with frequent diaper changes.
the onesies that look like combined shirt and shorts are good--don't know what they're called, but they're one piece which is key

DS wore onesies or little rompers his 1st summer (born in late June). It was all one piece things, never shirt/shorts combos

I had to go and check my pictures....onesies and the one piece shorts outfit/rompers. A few light weight pants to put over the onesies.

Okay so thats what I thought I just wasnt sure... my cousin had her baby in august and brought her home in a long sleeve and pants outfit... totally cute buit i was like am I supposed to cover him that much? Isnt it going to be too hot! Thansk for the advice!!

DD was born late in May. I dressed her in onesies with little cotton pants and socks - we had the A/C on all summer so it wasn't hot indoors. When we'd go out she'd wear little onesie outfits.
