Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Dr. Ferber???
So I just wanted to profess my love for Dr. Ferber!... here's why...
Starting when Lucas was 6 months old, we used the Ferber method on and off to get him to learn to fall asleep on his own. We suffered through many nights of Lucas crying it out but stuck with it. Here is a description of what we are now living with:
Me: Feeding Lucas his bottle before bed, enjoying watching him and staring at him as he drinks
Lucas: Finishes his bottle, takes it out of his mouth and calmly lays in my lap making funny sleepy faces.
Me: Picks Lucas up and puts him on my shoulder. Enjoys a moment of having him lay his head on my shoulder.
Me: Carries Lucas over to his crib. Say "OK Lucas, time to go to sleep. I love you."
Me: Gently lay him down in his crib on his back.
Lucas: Looks up at me with completely open eyes then rolls over onto his tummy and gets up on his hands and knees. He starts to crawl towards me and is looking up at me.
Me: "Lucas, I love you. Time to go to sleep. Lay down."
Lucas: Looks up at me, smiles and then buries his face into his sheet and sticks his little booty up in the air.
And that is how my DS goes to sleep at night now. 
Thank you Dr. Ferber! (I will appreciate this for as long as it lasts!!!)

I don't think so. I am pretty sure he says you can start any time...
I truly feel like I am in heaven lately when I put Lucas down... a totally enjoyable experience!

I don't think so. I am pretty sure he says you can start any time...
I truly feel like I am in heaven lately when I put Lucas down... a totally enjoyable experience!

As long as I can bring Lucas, DH and Lucy the cat we will start packing right now!... and I know you aren't eating ice cream, but can you make sure to have some for me in the freezer???

Oh please!!!! Just because I'm on a diet doesn't mean that DH doesn't bring every form of ice cream and sugar into this house. He just bought a BIG bag of peanut M&Ms while we were at Target. I think he's waiting to see how long until I snap and shove those M&Ms in a difficult spot.

Don't you just love the way those DH's support us?  Mine is constantly ordering the french fries and I am the one who doesn't want them.. but ends up eating 95% of them!
