Have to share this moment
Tonight I put DD (she's 9 mo) to bed her normal time. About a half hour later, she woke up crying. I went in and picked her up and she looked right into my eyes and started to touch my face so softly.
Usually she is so rough and we are always trying to show her how to touch and we say "nice, nice". Anyway, she was doing it for a few seconds and my eyes just started to well up. I sat with her in the glider and she was still looking in my eyes so deeply. I started to laugh through my tears and she started to giggle. It was the most amazing moment.
I wrote it down in a journal that I've been keeping for her. I never knew that motherhood would be so intense.

OMG. It totally does. I was soooo scared to become a mom that I had put it off for awhile. I would doubt whether or not I wanted to bring on this undeniable change in my life. Now it just amazes me how she is just everything to me.

thank you for sharing that moment! (i totally just welled up over here) i never in a million trillion years knew what being a mother was going to be like and its things like that, that just making it so much more then i ever dreamed of!!! i cant wait till my dd is old enough to do things like that!!

 That made me sniffle!!! Such a great moment, and YAY to you for journaling it. My DS is "all boy" slamming things and yelling all day long, but then when it's bedtime he gets so cuddly, he'll reach for my hand and once he gets it he holds on so tight to go to sleep, it's my FAVORITE moment of the day
